This past July our salon hosted a fundraiser for Mariah’s Promise with the help of our staff, friends, and local artist. Special thanks to Joe and Josie with Sailor Jerry Rum and helping sponsor the event. Bark! Dog Daycare, Zen Dog Boutique, Pink Poodle Gourmet, Azucar Bakery, The Bon Bon Buggy, Cream City Treats, SCSK8, and La Muerte. Our pants got rocked off by The Bloody Fives. Jonesy’s Eat Bar was able to cook up some delicious barbeque. Of course our staff worked hard for months in their free time getting the event organized. We could never have done it without the artist and the support of the community. This post is late BUT it is just a reminder that good deeds go a long way, we are appreciative and never forget our furry friends that are in need.

Once again, Mariah’s Promise is a non-profit animal rescue that relies on outside support to keep it running. They help to house, rehabilitate, and adopt out dogs in need. Recent;y they have come into some legal issues regarding the pit bulls that they house and adopt out. This has cascaded out of control, and they are in desperate need of any and all help.
Our neighbors Jesse and Peter at Smoke Glass Art 738 Santa Fe host a “Pit Bull Art show” during the First Friday art walk and huge supporters of Mariah’s Promise.
